2023 Focus on
People Awards

The Oticon Focus on People Awards recognize outstanding people who are helping to show that hearing loss does not limit a person’s ability to make a positive difference in their families, communities, or the world.

Thank you for casting your vote for the 2023 Focus on People Awards!

We are tallying the votes now and will announce the winners in February. Stay tuned!

Student Standouts

The Student Standouts category is open to full-time students with hearing loss, ages 6-25. Nominees are judged on their accomplishments in a whole range of community, athletic, academic and social activities. How can someone so young have accomplished so much? Read the stories of our three remarkable students to see for yourself.

Adult Trailblazers

The Adult Trailblazers category, open to people with hearing loss, ages 18 and up, represents our most diverse group of achievers. Nominees in the adult category are evaluated on their professional, volunteer, cultural and civic endeavors. This year’s finalists share a passion to make the world a better place, not only for people with hearing loss but for everyone.

Hearing Loss Champions

The Hearing Loss Champions category honors adults 25 and older, with or without hearing loss, who parent, educate, serve or support people with hearing loss and the hearing loss community. Read their stories and capture a little of that spirit for your own life.

Heroic Hearing Care Professionals

The Heroic Hearing Care Professionals category recognizes hearing care professionals who go “above and beyond” to open doors of opportunity for people with hearing loss through humanitarian and public education efforts. Nominees in this category are not required to have a hearing loss to qualify. Discover how these dedicated hearing care professionals promote awareness and understanding of hearing loss in their communities and the world.
