“We are pleased that Oticon has been recognized as a company that goes above and beyond to ensure that our employees can learn and grow professionally,” says Gary Rosenblum, President of Oticon, Inc. “In a changing hearing healthcare landscape, our investment in employee learning equips Oticon employees with the knowledge and skills they need to contribute to the success of our business and to the success of our valued customers.”

Oticon uses a blended approach to training to maximize engagement and learning effectiveness among all employees, including Account Managers and Field Trainers who travel extensively. Innovative, self-paced, user-friendly eLearning opportunities prepare employees to participate in training sessions with a solid level of knowledge and skills. The in-person training sessions build on that knowledge base with hands-on activities, including role playing. On-the-job training, eLearning courses and classroom training ensure that when new products or product updates are released, employees can effectively present the product, its benefits and application to Oticon customers.

“In planning for product launches, we collaborate with the Audiology, Marketing and Sales teams to develop a curriculum that allows our employees to educate customers efficiently and effectively, providing the knowledge customers need to succeed with the new technology and with their patients,” explains Josephine Poelma, Executive Director of Learning and Development for Oticon, Inc. “For all of us at Oticon, learning and development is a collaborative process that focuses on helping our employees deliver on their goals and achieve their potential.”
