More than 700 hearing care professionals from across the US attended the Oticon NEXT Conference, held October 12-14 in Orlando, Florida. The two-day conference explored the dynamics of the evolving hearing healthcare industry and the hearing solutions, strategies, tools and tactics hearing care professionals will need to shape their practices for success today and in the future.
Throughout the weekend, presentations by keynote speakers and informal workshops with Oticon experts focused on the quality products, enhanced customer experiences and science-based counseling strategies that empower hearing care professionals to exceed patient expectations and differentiate their practice. Conference participants were introduced to the expanded Oticon product family with options and styles to satisfy a wide variety of patients wants and needs, including the new Oticon Opn™ Custom and Siya essential solutions.
"We have conclusive evidence from two independent studies that shows how effectively Oticon Opn with OpenSound Navigator™ helps people interact with multiple speakers, while significantly reducing listening effort*, and empowers them to participate actively in the same noisy environments as people with normal hearing**,” said Oticon President Gary Rosenblum. “With new Oticon Opn Custom, including our smallest IIC ever, we bring Opn’s proven benefits to users who want the ultimate in discretion. We’ve also created exciting new choices with Oticon Siya, the first hearing aid in the essential category to give users easy wireless connectivity with low battery consumption to modern smartphones, TVs and other Bluetooth®-enabled devices."

HearingFitness™ Encourages Healthy Hearing Habits
HearingFitness is a new tool, available in Oticon's proprietary ON App, to help people with hearing loss understand how they can optimize their hearing health behavior to take full advantage of their hearing aids. Users of internet-connected Oticon Opn and Oticon Siya hearing aids can use HearingFitness to track how long they wear their hearing aids and receive notifications and prompts to help them reach their wearing goals and track the noise levels they are frequently exposed to. The new tool can be especially useful for first-time users who find it difficult to adapt to wearing hearing aids.
