Oticon, Inc. Donates $10,000 to National Breast Cancer Coalition to Celebrate Success of 2018 Oticon “Hear in Pink” Campaign

Somerset, NJ
14 November 2018

Oticon celebrated the success of the 2018 Oticon "Hear in Pink" campaign with a $10,000 donation to the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC). Oticon President Gary Rosenblum joined with Oticon employees at Oticon's Somerset headquarters to present the donation to NBCC representative Donna Duncan. The donation, which will help fund life-saving research, represents proceeds from the annual "Hear in Pink" hearing health and breast cancer-awareness campaign. During September and October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Oticon donated a portion of the sales of all Oticon Opn™ hearing aids, including special edition pink Opn, to the NBCC to support the group's mission to know how to end breast cancer by January 2020.

"In 11 years, Oticon has donated more than $120,000 to non-profit breast cancer organizations," said Oticon Vice President of Marketing Sheena Oliver, AuD. "This is a cause that resonates powerfully with hearing care practitioners and their clients. We greatly appreciate the support of our hearing care partners who join with us each year to educate and empower people in their communities to take charge of their hearing health and at the same time, to support research to find a cure."

In a show of support for the annual awareness-building campaign, a team of Oticon employees joined in the American Cancer Society "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" walk in Piscataway, New Jersey. Oticon also staged a special “Hear in Pink” Day celebration at Oticon's headquarters where medical staff from the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital provided breast health and wellness advice.
