At the 2018 American Academy of Audiology Conference, Oticon President Gary Rosenblum presented Georgine Ray, AuD, Secretary/Treasurer of the American Academy of Audiology Board of Trustees, with a $25,000 donation to the AAA Foundation’s Empowering Students Scholarship Fund. This is the seventh year that Oticon, Inc. has provided funding that will enable the American Academy of Audiology Foundation to award scholarships to graduate students earning AuD or PhD degrees in audiology who show exceptional promise as clinical audiologists. The donation will enable the AAA Foundation to award five $5,000 academic scholarships to deserving students.
“Oticon is proud to once again partner with the American Academy of Audiology Foundation to support the education of graduate students in audiology,” said Rosenblum. “By supporting the educational endeavors of students today, we aim to ensure a future of skilled and caring hearing care professionals who share our commitment to putting the needs of people with hearing loss first.”
“Oticon’s generous gift will help lighten the financial burden for deserving students and will help ensure the vitality of the profession of audiology,” said Dr. Ray. “We thank all our colleagues at Oticon, Inc. for their ongoing support of the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts.”
