Future Audiologists Gather in Park City, Utah for 2025 Oticon Summer Camp
More than 50 doctoral students in Audiology from universities across the U.S. convened in Park City, Utah from August 3 – 7 for the 2025 Oticon Audiology Summer Camp. This annual event, hosted by Oticon, brought together emerging professionals and seasoned experts for a week of immersive learning, collaboration and career development.
Led by a distinguished team of Oticon audiologists, researchers and industry leaders, the camp bridges the gap between academic training and real-world clinical practice. Now in its 26th year, the program continues to evolve alongside the hearing healthcare landscape, while staying true to its mission: to empower the next generation of audiologists with the tools, knowledge and confidence to thrive in their careers.
“Summer Camp is one of the many ways we support hearing care professionals and students,” said Virginia Ramachandran, AuD, PhD, Vice President of Audiology at Oticon, Inc. “We believe in sharing knowledge, offering transformative technology and creating opportunities for professional development that ultimately enhance patient care.”
Throughout the week, students participated in dynamic sessions covering topics such as diagnostic audiology, hearing aid technology and development, ACT™ testing and a variety of hands-on demonstrations.
Students also explored diverse career paths, from clinical and academic roles to positions in government and private practice, gaining insights into what lies ahead after graduation. For many, this was their first professional development experience, and a valuable opportunity to begin building their professional networks.
