Shaping the very future of connectivity

Oticon has been instrumental in creating the new Bluetooth® LE Audio and Auracast™* technologies for the benefit of hearing aid users.

Together we strive to ensure people with Oticon hearing aids can be digitally active and effortlessly connect with what matters most via any current or future device.

Ready for tomorrow’s technologies

Bluetooth LE Audio

Oticon Intent™ hearing aids feature Bluetooth LE Audio for a better all-round experience than classic Bluetooth. This includes two-way audio for hands-free calls on Android™ devices and Windows PCs, great audio quality, and increased power efficiency when streaming compared to classic Bluetooth.

Bluetooth LE Audio makes your patients ready for the future, when Auracast* technology will enable them to tap into audio from broadcasts in public places.

Easy LE Adapter

The Easy LE Adapter** ensures that patients with Android™ devices and PCs that don’t support LE Audio can still enjoy direct streaming and two-way audio for hands-free calls.*

*For Oticon Intent only

iPhone®, iPad®, Mac® and Vision Pro™

All Oticon hearing aids with 2.4 GHz are certified as Made for iPhone®. This allows users to listen to audio and make bi-directional audio and video calls on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Vision Pro via Bluetooth Low Energy technology.

Android devices

All Oticon hearing aids with 2.4 GHz are compatible with the Android Protocol for Audio Streaming (ASHA), allowing users to stream audio and make audio and video calls directly from selected Android devices. Users with phones that are not ASHA compatible can enjoy direct streaming  and hands-free communication on their phone by using a ConnectClip.

Hands-free calls

Your patients can walk and talk with their loved ones – wherever they are in the world – using their hearing aids as a Bluetooth headset. Hands-free connectivity lets them simply tap one hearing aid to answer or reject incoming calls or choose someone to call on their phone and then put it away.***
