The advanced AI sound processing in Oticon Play SI builds on our second-generation, always-on Deep Neural Network (DNN) 2.0, which is trained with millions of sound scenes to help children access clearer, more natural sound in both easy and difficult environments.

The DNN 2.0 can reduce unwanted sounds by up to 12 dB – while preserving the clarity and natural quality of the remaining sounds. This is especially important for children, as their learning and social environments are often complex and filled with background sounds that can impact their ability to participate meaningfully.

Oticon Play SI includes our latest 4D Sensor technology1, which seamlessly adapts the amount of listening support based on their needs and intentions, spanning 5 dB output SNR within a single environment. - 4D Sensor technology is off by default for Oticon Play SI and must be manually enabled in Oticon Genie 2. MoreSound Intelligence™ 3.0 will still operate adaptively, but without the additional support the sensors provide. The decision to enable 4D Sensor technology should be made by the hearing care professional based on the child’s listening environments, their ability to manage them, and feedback from the child.
