Welcome to the Spatial Sound Demonstration!
This demonstration was not recorded through hearing aids. It is designed to illustrate how Spatial Sound makes listening feel more natural.
What is Spatial Sound?
Spatial Sound is a phenomenon that helps people with a hearing loss to better identify where sounds are coming from.
This localisation effect is an important aspect of the spatial awareness that makes it possible for users of hearing aids to more easily focus on wanted sounds and “cancel out” annoying background noises.
Two hearing aids communicate wirelessly with each other - processing sounds as a single unit, similar to the way the brain normally processes sound from two ears. Clarity and depth are brought into the sound picture and bring users of hearing aids closer to natural hearing.
What people are saying about Spatial Sound
| | "Before, people would be talking to me and I wouldn’t realize it until they were right in front of me. Now I can hear people as they come up behind me with a greeting." |
| | "Things just seem sharper and clearer. The sound is very pure and natural." |
| | "I can hear a wider variety of sounds in a more natural way." |
