A: Pairing - Why can’t my phone find the Streamer when searching for it?
Streamer may be outside the range of your phone. Move the two devices closer together and reattempt pairing. Also, it is a possibility that Streamer is already connected to other Bluetooth devices that are active and within its range. Make sure that all other nearby Bluetooth devices that have previously been paired to the Streamer are turned off before you repeat the pairing process.

A: Pairing - The Bluetooth pairing failed – What did I do wrong?
Most likely, your Streamer was not in pairing mode when your phone was trying to pair with it. To set the Streamer in Pairing mode, start with the Streamer’s Bluetooth powered off. If the Bluetooth button fades in and out, Bluetooth is on and you will need to turn it OFF by pressing the Bluetooth button for about 2 to 3 seconds. Now repeat the pairing steps. For more help on pairing visit Oticon’s Pairing Guide.

Please note that the Streamer’s pairing mode is active for 120 seconds or until the Streamer has been paired to your phone. If the pairing is not completed within the 120 second, you will need to repeat the pairing steps again.

In some cases you are required to manually connect the Streamer after completing pairing. The connection option is usually found in the phone’s Bluetooth menu. Please refer to the user manual for the Phone for more information.

A: Why can’t the other person hear me well when on the phone?
The Streamer’s microphone does not pick up your voice clearly: Talk straight into the microphone, keep 10-40 cm (2.5 – 16 inches) distance from your mouth. Be careful not to let the Streamer rub against clothes or other material during calls.

A: I am having problems hearing the other person when in noisy environments.
If environmental sounds disturb your speech understanding, you might want to turn the Hearing Instruments’ microphones off. This is done by pressing the audio button for 2 to 3 seconds. You will hear the program change beep and after 1 second the microphones in both Hearing Instruments will be off. Be careful not to turn off the Hearing Instruments’ microphones in traffic!

A: How far from the phone will my Streamer work?
Depending on the Bluetooth phone used, and the surroundings, a range of up to 10 meters can be expected. Intermediate obstacles like e.g. walls decrease the range.
